Mirkwood Evans Vincent believes in justice, equality, upholding human rights, and the preservation of the environment.

Via our membership of international advisory network IR Global we are proud to partner with Treesistance and support the Maró Indigenous Territory Forest Guardians.

Treesistance's mission is to transform attitudes towards climate action and inspire systemic change. The objective is to revolutionize how we interact with the natural world and approach environmental conservation. At the heart of its platform is an "access to justice" model based on the latest criminology research and crime science strategies in partnership with Indigenous leaders.

Indigenous leader Dadá Borarí leads the Treesistance Forest Guardian program and is chief of the Maró Indigenous territory (420km2)

Their successful blueprint for stopping forest crime and deforestation in the Amazon has been peer-reviewed and featured in the latest UN report on Forest & Fauna (2021). This remarkable model is based on three pillars: the demarcation of territories and land rights claims, the creation of teams of Forest Guardians to protect their territories, and the development of trusted relationships with law enforcement to ensure prompt and effective action is taken.

By co-sponsoring the Maró Forest Guardians, we're making a tangible difference in this fight. Our monthly contributions go directly to supporting the Forest Guardians' upkeep and logistics, keeping them on the frontline and enabling them to carry out their vital work to safeguard this precious ecosystem.

By collaborating with communities on the ground, we can all help protect the Amazon rainforest and secure a sustainable future for our planet.
